Where do the ingredient in my sandwich come from?

Italian B.M.T was the subway sandwich I choose to posted in the second blog project. Luckily, I am able to find most of the ingredient source locations from Subway’s official website.
Here are the ingredients and source location:

1.B.M. T (Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and Black Forest Ham) Pork & American Cheese
The Pork and Cheese are supplied by the local supper in Wisconsin.

2.Lettuce N/A

3.Tomato
The tomato I had in the sandwich is from a supplier from Florida, during the production process. Most of Florida farm acreage is drip and micro-irrigated, minimizing the use of water. They also use computer technology to build a fertilization programs that nourish the plants based upon specific environmental factor, which can help minimizing the irrigation and retaining the health of the plant. The farmer also planted cover crops and use land rotation method to manage soil fertility, quality and plant productivity.

4. Onion
The onion is from Dalena Farms that located in California Central Valley. During the farming procedure, the farmers replenish ground with nutrients with crop rotation and cover crops as well as maintain an extensive water management system to conserve water throughout their operation.
5. Green Pepper
The green peppers are from the Triple M Farms in Arkansas.
